Gotta admit I really enjoyed seeing this, you didn’t purposely expand it 10 minutes for money it included the right amount of comedy and information in a short time and for that liked and subbed

I used to think the Doppler Radar in my city was a giant golf ball until a few months ago lol

This is why doppler couldn't detect the presence of sharknados. It can detect that there are sharks in the cloud rotation, but it can't see if the sharks have come down to start attacking homes.

how does the radar pick up precipitation, but not aircraft?

what is that spherical shell around the radar for? How does it _not_ blind the dish? Also, how does it not pick up airplanes?

0:03 when you pause it to quickly you almost see him dabbing

I like it! Thanks for the "production". I'm guessing that ground fog is outside the view of radar as well. I am curious, however, about larger dust clouds such as haboobs. Thanks!

I have 2 questions, do you work at the National Weather Service (random, I know)
2: What if a tornado is like 1 mile from the radar, would it see the tornado then?

I operated maritime surfaced radar all my life, some of what you said are real.

Why am I able to hear it in my home? 4 yrs and I am getting sick from the vibration hum. I can pick it up on an old guitar tuner and it is worse on days radar is high on nexrad. Thnx

It’s not showing me parts of the huricane. Only the front face and then skips about 50miles and gets the back wall. I want to see the rotation of the eye and wind speeds.
