When I was in the army, we were stationed on an outpost by the Barents sea in the northern most part of Norway, and this music invoke the feelings I had in that desolate place. No people, no houses, hardly any plants or animals. The mountains just suddenly terminate by the water, and from there its all just a vast expanse of ocean, snow and ice merging into infinite white nothingness.

"What kind of music do you listen to?"

"You wouldn't get it"

Fun fact, the background phoro is from the 1916 Elephant Island expeditions by Ernest Shackleton and his crew.

People who have read "At the Mountains of Madness" by H.P. Lovecraft would appreciate this ambience and image 1000% more.

That photo is a mindf*ck with this music. Listen long enough and you begin to understand the vastness; witness your own desolation. The last thing you'll remember is the sound of your labored breathing becoming more faint and the wind growing more intense in your ears. Then silence. Your frozen stare remains fixated on the white horizon while the snow claims your body.

Everybody listening to this is either at peace or having a mental breakdown. Either way, this track is perfection and I’ve used it many times. Music is a wonderful method of transportation.

I'd rather be isolated and alone far away from civilization than to be around people and be lonely. It's weird I know but the I believe being in the middle of nowhere alone is comforting. These dark ambient pieces you've made bring me comfort in these times. Thank you.

Sometimes during thunderstorms I would turn off all the lights in my house, light a candle, and sit in my living room while listen to this type of music. It feels very calming and soothing...

if places were sounds, this one would represent 99% of the universe. And all of our other music, every genre and melody, representing the miniscule 1% we live in.

I like to listen in my car while driving long routes.. it's takes you to different reality away from crazy world and rude people....just me and universe....diving into the ocean of fantasy and atmospheric vibe

Still one of the best of the ambient sounds on YouTube.

Eery yet serene… otherworldly yet of this world..

Great, here is some background music for my existential crisis.

makes me feel like i'm the last survivor of an expedition gone wrong in Antarctica, aimlessly walking through the snow while shadow people stand still in a far distance near the mountains observing my movement.

Listening with noise canceling earphones and it feels like my brain is getting massaged 👀

This music expresses something profound that I can't explain, it's almost scary, it's like the ultimate reality of things the hidden tragedy inside everything, it's so real.

thank you for making it.

In my opinion, this is your magnus opus. The music sequence is an achievement by itself, however, combined with this specific image, it takes me on an introspective journey where this frozen, barren landscape, resonates with feelings of loneliness and isolation I lived with during a rather dark period in my life. This track has helped me fall asleep during many sleepless nights.
