As I would occasionally glance over at my screen as this was playing in the background, the visual would be ever so subtly darker and more foreboding. Really nice effect....kind of took me on a journey.

As a GM this is absolutely perfect background for any number of scenes. Right now the players are trudging through a lost township in the middle of the woods of nowhere, haunted by ghosts and home to a coven of blightwitches. This piece sets the atmosphere Just right.

For anyone that's played Shadowbringers (Final Fantasy 14), a title like this holds a much deeper meaning. :P While it is a bit long for a dark ambient track, I'll still give it a listen to when I'm able.

i really suggest getting into dark ambient music to sleep to, instead of playing songs i’ve started playing dark ambient music. makes me fall asleep so fast because of how relaxing it is. congrats to this video for being the first one i ever listened to and fell asleep too

In final fantasy 14 shadowbringers, you enter a world plagued by light, a world that lost it's night sky. I can only imagine this is what that world sounds like, with eternal shining yellow sky...

Hearing and also feeling those desolated yet comforting sounds make me remember 8 long days and nights that I spent completly by myself in woods far away from my home. I had only lighter with myself back then, but starting a fire makes everything better: safer, warmer. The place was very dark and cold in the nights althought it was end of the summer. The reasons I left my home are only mine, it was 2 years ago. It may seem scary even horrific, but to be honest I go back in time with my imagination almost every single day to this adventure when I had to eat roots of some unkown weeds to gain water. I ate many different plants not knowing will they hurt me, obviously they didn't...
Yes... But I must say those sounds are really making me feel this calm but cold, dark nights when I was waiting for the dawn, but also with whole my being enjoing the meditative state of silence and solitude.

I’m on about month 9 of falling asleep to ICA’s music every night I love it. Only one person I know even knows who they are and he’s a fellow fanatic.

ICA’s the pure real ambient. Yeah some folks a be loves them some ambient music stuff like on Windam Hill. You know, John Tesh, Robert Rich. But after they experience the sweet expansive desolation of ICA they’ll be all like “The preacher warned me about this, but it feels soooo good” Then they’d be like “Screw you Robert Rich, quit playin them high sounds on your keyboard. And quit putting them electronic bird fart sounds n your music, now bow down on your knees, bow down and worship ICA”
