I Found A Reticulated Python (World's Longest Snake) In My Yard

You guys won’t believe what was found in my backyard! It' holds the title of longest snake species in the world. I always heard that we had reticulated pythons in the area, but this was the first time I had seen one with my own two eyes, and actually touched its skin with my bare hands. Taking a quick break from the ants this week, we take a look at the giant snakes that live in my yard. Ant love forever! This video was shot in 4K Ultra HD resolution.

Correction :- Snakes have fully formed inner ear structures but no eardrum. Instead, their inner ear is connected directly to their jawbone, which rests on the ground as they slither.

I adore snakes (who knew) so this was a fun episode. Pythons are also so lovely and seeing this little guy out in the wild was very cool. I’m excited to see footage of when a big one comes along.

33 feet is the longest retic length ever recorded, but the current Guinness World Records holder for world's longest snake currently alive is Medusa who measured 25 feet and 2 inches in 2014. Back in 2003, a reticulated on the island of Java was reported to be 49 FEET! However when someone actually went and measured it, it was between 6.5 to 7 meters (21 to 23 feet) so not quite.
