I miss my Shih Tzu -

He was the best boy. Everyone who met him claimed he was the sweetest, loveliest dog they had ever met. An absolute cuddle-bug.

He made it 17 long years. I was with him every single one.

I grew up with two shih tzus. They were the kindest little puppers who would just chill, but also loved to play

I had a little Shih Tzu. She passed away almost a year ago. I had her for almost all my time growing up, and we were called to take her because otherwise she would have lived in a cage her whole life.

We had to put her down when she was like 17 because she started suffering too much. During all that time, she really was a holy lion, fighting against and beating our bad thoughts whenever we had them just by staring at us.

My shih zhu was my best dogs ever. So kind & good hearted. Buster was a natural therapy dog. He would comfort everyone he met!

Our Shih-Tzu rescued himself by climbing in our car uninvited over 10 yrs ago. He truly is our keeper, when the family unit is scattered in the house, he goes room by room making sure everyone is ok, and when he sits down he does it facing whichever way our backs are turned towards or just sits facing/blocking the door. He really has our backs and we love him crazy.

My parent’s Shih Tzu is this hilariously grumpy old man. We honestly have no idea how he’s still alive because he’s pushing 20. Even from puppyhood though, he had more attitude that any one dog should and is super opinionated and particular. He can be a beast, but also the sweetest little thing sometimes.

as the owner of a shih tzu, i can confirm this. mine just likes to prance around when he’s not eating or chilling on a scrunched up blanket. he gives the SALTIEST side eyes.
