The biggest issue with MB products (and it's not a good thing) is that they are very inconsistent. My W204 has a rock solid interior and the only source of a rattle was when the pano roof was tilted up which was easily fixed. I have, however, driven some other MBs and they squeaked and rattled like crazy inside. The interiors are good, it's the inconsistent workmanship that's concerning.

Mine is exactly the same, creaking all the time without even pushing it. Took it to dealership 4 times and they couldn't fix. I eventually traded it in after 5 month of ownership. It's a 2017 model made in Alabama.

W204 doesnt do that. Rock solid. If ever I experienced this when looking for a new car, it's an instant No.

Mine has black ash wood trim, which does feel slightly better but still makes lots of rattling noise on rough roads. Very disappointed.

Have a model 220 cdi 2015 for over 1 jear. Car is realy rock solid. Not any creaking also not while speeding at 230kmh.
Live in Europe and mine is build in Bremen Germany.

i really wouldn't mind if it squeaked in some remote place that your hand was never going to touch, but the center console of all places? that's one of the parts in the interior you touch most :/

Such a disappointing interior nowadays from Mercedes. It looks great on the pictures. Until you sit in them and discover that all the silver is not metal but the cheapest plastic with paint... the air vents are so sad...

Honestly....35K is not a lot of money nowadays. That's equivalent to the average sales price of new vehicles in the US. Once you hit the 100K range....then I'd start getting angry.

I drive a pre-facelift W204 and it doesn't squeaks even quarter as bad as those newer models.
