Just sat in a brand new C class. Exactly the same. Baffled me completely. The lower half of the door pannels and door bins and the worst part. Cheap plastic, a few centimeters of play. Nuts

i completely understand peoples viewpoints here!
but having been testing out a 2021 e class, not the one i had but another one that does have this creaking issue (yes not all cars have this issue) honestly while driving it never happens, its like you want it to happen but when driving/just doodling around in a parking lot or whatnot yk

doesnt mean that its very acceptable but i feel its driven out of proportion maybe?

They peaked in the mid 90’s and they have slowly declined since. It’s weird because it seemed like they were trying to make decent cars again in 2010, but that’s history now.

There is no point in checking the quality in front because those are design for pedestrians, but god damn the interior is awful, in 4 years after waranty you will hear any creek from the interior

Für die Unsummen die man hinlegen muss unmöglich. Ich habe in dem Ding auch gesessen. Tut mir Leid sehe ich nicht ein. Da bekommt man mittlerweile für 1/3 tolle Autos wie einen Hyundai i30 oder einen Kia Proceed.

I drive a 2007 W219, and despite having an unreliable engine and gearbox, both of which had to be replaced by 100k km, the car's interior doesn't creak nearly as much as the car in this video (AND it's approaching 200k km on the odometer).

Yep, it’s all just to make it look sleek. My 2013 C class is build like a tank. No creaks or loose interior components anywhere. I’ve sat in multiple new Mercedes and have been amazed at the little amount of build quality. I wouldn’t trade my 2013 for a new one any day.

… and the price of the car in 2016 was about 14.000 euros. It‘s painful for a brand wich says about itself „Das beste oder nichts“ that they are not able to produce cars with a great build quality

I don‘t hate Mercedes, but i have to say, that the build quality of my 2016 mk3 Fabia Estate with over 130 k kilometers is extremely great…

New Mercedes build quality is horrible… I have a CLA35 AMG 2020 even tho it’s lower quality but getting a 2023 c300 as a rental just made me cringe on how badly it was built considering it was assembled in Tennessee… if you get a Mercedes make sure it’s built in Europe because dear god is the quality just so poor
