Mr.conti, i am friends with Monica Mills. My family had special memories in this church. I love Monica’s words at the beginning. I liked the history. My ENTIRE family left in the 50s. I come to tend graves. Meeting Monica and coming to the church gave me live people to visit when i come to decorate graves in McDowell, Mercer, Tazewell and Summers! Thanks for your time and maybe i will meet you in the future.

Though not raised Catholic, this Church brings back many fond memories of seeing it every morning going to Gary Elementary and Gary High school. This Church was a big part of the local community when I was growing up in the area. I hope that it will continue to stand as a memorial of the people of the Gary area for years to come.

As some radical post Vatican II priests decided to remove some of the beauty like the angel statues etc, the people were responsible for they could have forbid this destruction and demanded the exit of these radicals. Being catholic all my life I've experienced these types of personalities and they did destroy a lot of the beauty of the original Catholic this insanity still exists but in very limited quantity..Thank a beautiful Church!!!! as well as
