He died the same day his cat, Tito died. Tito had been very sick also. Thank you for loving your kitty cats so much. ❤

Waited to meet him after a show once. Stood outside for a solid hour. He came out and immediately shook our hands and thanked us for being patient. He was tired but stood to talk with us for awhile. Class act.

Him caring for his sick cat instead of himself just shows what kind of a good man he was.

Poor guy, he seemed to have a heart of gold, caring for his cat instead of going to the hospital.

Rest easy Legend!

I shook his hand during the World Coming Down Tour in '99, and my whole hand disappeared! He was huge, but he loved the fans and took time to sign autographs and talk with everyone around him...
I also got his autograph 💚

The way he talks about women is beautiful, he was a very loving man. I wish he could have found love and family in his life, I know it was one of his regrets at the end. A beautiful and talented person.

I have the same Birthday as Peter! That's friggin awesome!! Saw them live in Syracuse. Seedy bar with a stage. One of the best shows I've been to, Loved it! Type O is how I connected to the woman, my best friend, that I'm still with 25 years later.

I grew up in Brooklyn in the 90s.
I’m a huge Type O fan. I remember seeing Pete at L’Amour just hanging out randomly.
You couldn’t miss him if you tried.

He was an amazing talent that we sadly lost way too soon. Rest easy, Peter. We miss you.

He also influenced me. Through many hash times and kept me going. Listened to TON during high school and the Marine Corps. Shared my love of TON to my Brothers I served with, some of which are no longer with us.
Thank you brother and the rest of type o for your enlightenment, entertainment and knowledge rest in peace my brother and friend.

I saw Type O in London, Ontario, in 1998. AMAZING show!!! Peter was a formidable figure of a man. It was a small venue, and I was mesmerized by the magnitude of his presence.

I’m so happy that I got to see Type O Negative at the height of their fame. He was an amazing performer and the show was unforgettable RIP Hearing the love he had for his kitty melted my heart. Whenever any of mine were sick, and old I never left their side. I completely understand the mindset of not wanting to move for fear of disturbing your beloved pet in their most difficult time of need.

I had the chance to meet him invited backstage of his concert i was 14years old, 32years ago. We had a beer and a chat with all the band, it was such one of the most incredible moment of my life, i will never forget his beautifull green eyes, deep voice, tall size. He sd have played in Dracula from FF Coppola. A very beautifull soul, sensible, dark as hell. Unique person in centuries. ❤
