Cheap (Wuhan) vs Expensive (Zildjian) Cymbal Stacks

Should you pay $100 or $500 for you cymbal stacks? Should you mix cymbals from different brands? Today we are going to do a little shootout and see which china cymbal stacks are better: a pair of Wuhan Chinas, a pair of Zildjian FX Oriental Chinas, or a mix of the 2 brands.

We'll do a 4 way comparison with a ton of sound samples so that you can really hear the difference!

Another great video. Thanks for putting these out. My personal goto stack is a 14 Zildjian A Custom EFX Trash over a 19 Ultra Hammered A China. Sounds absolutely amazing. I like having it on an X Hat arm on my rack so I can adjust the tightness of the two cymbals. I also use a Zildjian 12" FX Oriental China Trash Cymball with a 10" Zildjian EFX A custom Splash on top for my smaller stack.

Very cool video! I've only been using some cheap brass cymbals for my stack (14" hi hat top and 16" crash) and it still sounds pretty good to me.

smaller stacks sound better to me, I would not use these combinations, not my taste ... but really cool video to see for sound reference ! Wuhan rocks man, ill take em any day, they are made from b20 aloy, same as top tier cymbals like zildjian a custom line ... plus they are hand hammered also, which for the price difference its a no brainer, not all of us can pay 400 bucks for each cymbal these days !
