If your thinking of buying cymbals, don't base ur decision off what "sounds good" on YouTube, cymbals sounds so different (usually sound better) when recorded through mics, put through eq and preamps etc.

Also coop3rdrumm3r is endorsed by zildjian, he's never going to say anything bad about their cymbals even the z series which, anyone else will tell you sounds cheap

S Family is best budget cymbal you cannot change my mind. I had them. I loved them. I still use them time to time.

To my ears, the S sounded the best. I didn't think the Z crash projected very well. The I sounded pretty good, too, but my favorite is the S series. I play mostly K Sweets, and the S sound like they'd sit nicely in that group. If I were on an extreme budget or just starting out, however, I'd still play the Z series. The tones were good, just didn't project like the others. Thanks for another great vid, and for shining light on budget products!

For reference, the Zildjian Planet Z Cymbals are made of brass, the Zildjian I series is made of B8 Bronze (92% Copper + 8% Tin), And the Zildjian S series is made of B12 Bronze (88% Copper + 12% Tin)

I bought a new kit from Guitar Center, and they threw in these Zildjian i cymbals (hihat, ride, crash) for free and they sound amazing! The only downside is the hihats which when closed tightly can sound a bit like they are made of plastic. But if you open them up ever so slightly, they sizzle so much better.

iSeries for the win! I have that set. Just set up my new drum set last night and put iSeries cymbals on. I like the ride/crash, but I'm looking for a designated RIDE. Will keep the Ride/Crash on my set, because it sounds good. But need a deginated ride cymbal

Hey Bro, thanks for inspiring me to play drums and teach me some techniques. I once took a break with drums, but when i saw your videos, i go upstairs and play my drums everyday. Thanks!

Hmmm, I like the Planet Z hats, S ride and crash. The S hats where tinny to me. I do own a ZHT 18" trash crash and sounds really good.

I think that it doesn’t matters if you have a Ziljdian Constantinople set if you’re a bad drummer, cooperdrummer sounds good even in the planet z’ s

I just bought the S series and have been playing with it for a month now. I'm still not happy with it I thought it's lacking something until I got to my Guitar Center store and found both I and S series next to each other. Tried both like 5 times to make sure my opinion was steady and I was surprised, the I series sounded way better to me and was even shocked it was like $150 cheaper! Today I'm heading back to GC and will replace my whole S series with the I series pack. I've seen lots of S series vids on YouTube and I thought you should personally check them out and hear them up close. Not only each person's hearing and preference is different but it also makes a huge difference hearing them up close vs on YouTube.
