These are beautiful. I was wondering about the liquid latex. Could the coaster just sit on the mat, then sand the edges if any dripped to the side?

what is the purpose of the liquid latex on the back of the coasters? Does it help keep them from sliding off the cups. Do you recommend wearing a mask when working with resin? Love your coasters!
