I can vouch for method number 2. Those wire holes are tiny, need to wire this at the desk which is not easy if the boiler end is all connected already. It's basically all about logistics. Coffee money sent yesterday, this video was really useful.

👍👍 Am thinking of trying this myself. The heating engineer who recommended the T4R has gone awol on me. The current thermostat is a Salus, which is dreadful....I've seen it referred to as a 'war crime'

Hi, thank you for providing videos.

I recently had the wireless thermostat replaced with a Honeywell T4r sender and receiver. The programmable timer is still the original danfross FP/CP 715-si.

The radiators and water work fine independently but if I try to use them together the programmer (Danfross) starts clicking and the heating and water light click in and off together and display error 701 nO1

I recall the engineer telephoning his colleague asking what wires went where.

It's a y plan system condenser system with hot water cylinder.

I suspect the wiring in the receiver may be incorrect.

Seems odd that the heating and water will only work independently and not together.

Thermostat works fine when editing heating only turning the boiler on and off when it reaches required temp.

Please you help?

Very nice video but I would like to connect the thermostat via the Opentherm protocol. From what I read in the specs that should be possible with the T4R, so I don't understand why you are saying that the OT connectors are for a different thermostat. Can you explain it to me?

hi there, I have a ST9400C programming unit, and I am trying to replace my old hcw80 wireless thermostat and receiver, with a newer DT90e in the old receiver have a 5 wiring which are (Blue wired in N, then the brown wired in the L (2nd) then I have a black wire which wired in to A, then a grey wired into B and then the earth wired into the E, , do I follow the same with the new receiver dt90e ? if so where do I connect the earth as on the new dt90e there is no E (mark) only C, in the new receiver dt90e I have a NLL then ABC, any advice? thanks

Didn't you forget to bring Earth, neutral + Line to the receiver from the spur?
