My character has amazing peripheral vision, he doesn’t even need to look forward when he’s running. Most of the time he’s just staring off to the left.

Just a tip for people starting out. Take lock picking as a very early skill and level it. I've been to alot of planets with POIs that had master locks on it. So if the lockpick isn't lvl3 you can't go into the whole dungeon..

Couple of clarifications here: you do not need to go back to your ship to sleep, you can wait on the bench near the Den shop to pass time. You can also sell your stolen goods and then buy them back to clear the red status from them. There is a few NPCs that talk about the Trade Authority dealing in stolen goods, so this is definitely intended and likely baked into the game on purpose.

If you steal an item, such as the microgun, just take it to Zoe at the trade authority. Sell it to her, then buy it but for the same price and it removed the stolen tag.

Another pro tip (especially for heavy weapon mains): In New Atlantis, commercial district, UC Distribution Centre, there is a woman who is selling everything from weapons to misc - and she is selling an armour piercing mini gun (short gun) and breaks though even the strongest armour. What makes this also amazing is the fact it uses 7.77 which is the same the Grendel uses and it’s relatively cheap compared to other ammo. A 500 stack of it can range to about 5, 000 credits which is not a lot if you do missions or go to the board. The gun costs 36, 000 credits and is worth it so much.

I am so happy that Bethesda made Starfield in the same formula as Fallout and Elder Scrolls. You realize very quickly that Starfield is very familiar but also new, refreshing, and exciting all at once! Its awesome, it is pretty demanding for my PC and I have the minimum requirements, but that isn't stopping me from playing in its blurry Glory lol

Just one tip to make.

In the videos, he is using the ship you get from the Mantis quest line. Which is a quest you can get early on, is a bit brutal at low levels, but is well worth it reward wise.

But if you read all the information regarding the "Mantis" at the base, one thing that is made very clear is that the ship needs upgrading. That is where you come in because the previous Mantis didn't get around to it.

Go back to a major city and upgrade the damn thing. Engines are easy. Reactor is easy. Just go into the option to upgrade the ship and select the best option you can use for a Class A ship. The shield generator can also be updated. All three with no fuss or ship redesign. The ship also comes with a shielded cargo hold. And this is the one area it lacks. But because you upgraded the reactor and engines, you got some wiggle room to add to the structure and give yourself a boost to storage. I'd suggest sticking with shielded cargo holds which I believe you can get in the wolf system referenced in the video.

Can you update the weapon systems? I don't know if that is possible if you upgrade the cargo space on the ship from "crap low useless" to "barely manageable". But you can try.

But this ship is a beast. Space combat quests against +4 ships that was dragging me over hot coals, was almost on easy mode with this ship. It may not look like Star Trek's USS Defiant, but it is straight up a gunship. It may not have the range of many of the other ships you will face but once it locks on a vessel, you light it up like a freaken Christmas tree. My first 5 vs 1 fight with this ship I did sipping coffee. As in I actually had time to sip coffee in the middle of a fire fight.

Now I'm not even level 20 yet, but I'm already looking at this Class A ship thinking how I can turn it into a Class C gunboat.

So how do you get the Mantis quest? I'm sure there is an official way, an unofficial way, and the random "came across the base" way. I don't know the official way to get it, but I got it from a random encounter. I was on a moon, clearing out a Spacer's den and picked up a note. Read the note and the quest started. There was nothing that lead me to this location. I was just farming locations on random moons for equipment to loot or sale. The official quest line, I don't know what it is.

The blue ring on lockpicking happens when you get Security to Rank 2, making it much easier to lockpick.

Stealth is borderline OP when coupled with a specific weapon and ammo type skill at low levels. I went with ballistic and pistol. Also use a jet pack or spacesuit that has the Chameleon perk added to it, if you can find one. One shot most enemies and remain unseen. Don’t forget to use a silencer and keep your distance.

This is Bethesda. In the 20 year anniversary edition, you’ll still be able to grab the mk1 armor through the case.

You can remove the stolen status from items by selling them to the trade authority NPC's then immediately buying them back. Don't leave the menu after selling them

Beowolf with suppressor and stealth will be a deadly combination. There is a glitch in the Beowolf though. You kill the person so fast. They are still standing.

You can remove the stolen flag from guns and armor by modifying them at a workbench. For all items you can also sell them to the Trade Authority and then buy them back.

I am absolutely digging the game you know your playing a Bethesda game with that very familiar feeling and style yet it is so different and fresh and new I had just completed the mantis mission I'm only level 9 right now but I'm taking my time no need to rush for me I literally feel like an explorer while exploring this game its hard to describe but I'm sure you all who are playing understand what I'm trying to explain but I absolutely love it there is so much to find and see I know I haven't even begun to scratch the surface I just went to the den I sold those boots for the 500 that guy was offering I am yet to return to the mission giver the weapon and suit shop keeper from the well that's where I'm at currently ❤❤❤❤❤

If you jump to lv60+ planets set difficultly very hard before landing, do the same before entering the abandoned buildings, then change difficulty to your desire find high lv elite enemy save game just before killing him changing the difficultly to very hard, kill him reload the game over and over until you get the best legendary you want easy way to get end game weapons right from the start. Rinse and repeat with other elites until you get everything you want. This all so gives you a tone of xp and credits.

I found an amazing rifle the first day I played the game. It's a VSS Russian sniper with intigrated suppressor barrel, in this game it's called "old earth hunting rifle" but this is a unique one called Advanced Old Earth Hunting Rifle. It's kind of wierd because it doesn't have colored text, it appears to be a common gun not technically a unique but for some reason this one does over 100 damage when every other one of these I've found only does around 30 damage, it's also the only one that has the word "Advanced" in it's name. It has no mods attached so you can actually make it way more powerful with customization. You can get it literally as soon as you get to New Atlantis, go to the Mast district then take the elevator down to The Well and there is a gun store call UC Surplus if you look on the shelfs he has it on the display shelf to the right of his desk, just open the chest that's on his desk to use it to block his line of sight and crouch and steal the gun really quick, just make sure to save first incase you fuck it up. He also has some other good guns you can steal like the MiniGun and some silenced pistols. This dude was super easy to steal from I didn't even have the stealth or theft perks. This gun is crazy good if you like to snipe, only thing is the ammo is hard to find but the lady in the shop across the alley I think it's called the Trade Authority or something like that, you can buy the ammo there and they have a couch right by the vender lady just sit and wait 24 hours and it will refresh her ammo supply so you can buy a bunch of it. She also has some good guns for sale.

A tip if you want to get rid of the stealing symbol and stop stolen items from being taken when you're arrested, you can go to a trade authority, sell the stolen item then buy it back, it gets rid of the stolen tag. I did this at the trade authority on mars not sure if it works at all of them

MrAir

After you sell to the trade authority you can buy back your weapons etc back for the same price. This makes them clean and no longer stolen. Just don’t back out before buying your items back

The only tip in the whole video is to steal literally everything.
