Study after study concludes that having a gun in the home significantly increases the members chances of dying from a gun shot. The risk of suicide goes up, the risk of homicide goes up and the risk of accidental death by firearm goes up. But keep thinking that you are keeping the bogey man at bay, while you subject your family to less safety.

Uhh pretty sure the 2nd amendment guarantees the right to gun ownership, not choosing 1 citizen's life over another. And if the NRA is going to advertise how to act in the bounds of the law, it would be nice if the NRA actually stood behind the people who act according to this proclaimed stance, like Marissa Alexander Stood Her Ground against her abusive husband and was punished for it in Florida without a single message or statement from the NRA.

Or just last week when Philando Castile properly announced his right to concealed carry in his home state and was murdered on the spot.
