I've gotten to spend some time with the TouchPad now, so it's time to see if this is the savior for webOS that we think it might be.

The first thing you'll notice is that this device picks up fingerprints like nothing else out there. While most tablets let you easily wipe them away, this one makes you scrub with a good bit of effort to get the screen clean again. Not a huge thing, but annoying.

Check out the full video above for all of my thoughts on the HP TouchPad and whether or not it's a good value for the money considering it's in the same price point range as the iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1. Wow this was way ahead of its time. Wireless charging tap to sync, lockscreen notification it looks like Android and IOS just started stealing features when the OS died. Too bad. They should bring it back.

Helpful Tip: First off, I would like to say that you guys have done an awesome job of making reviews. But back to the topic, when you said that the only way to exit out of a full screen video is to hit the full screen button, your statement was wrong. You could also hit the home button as well. The information might not be really useful but I wanted to share something!

I like my TouchPad so much I went and bought a Pre3 to go with it. I don't know if the iPad or Androids are better, this does everything I want it to do and at half the price so I'm very happy with it. I'm very impressed with WEBOS, it's fast and easy to use not to mention fun.

i got to my Best Buy at 9:59 AM and they and as soon a i walked in the guy in the front said

" there are 4 people walking around the store who say they dont want to buy the touchpad, but there is a line at costumer service and by my count there is one left, so you better get in line for it before some one changes their mind"

and i got the last one.

I really regret missing out on the chance to nab one of these when they were cheap, webOS was always intriguing to me

This TouchPad looks amazing and have lots of potential. I think a year later, this will be perfect, what with the available apps and updates and fixes...

I had never seen a TouchPad running live (only read about it and loved webOS's interface), but this thing runs so well! It's impressive, really. Too bad it didn't sell well, because it looks a lot better than any Android tablet ever released.

This is going to be a steal when it goes on sale discounted to £89 for 16GB today in the UK.

I was able to snag a 32 gb for $150 today. Excited! I will probably play around with WebOS and see what happens with HP's decision. Will be interesting to see what happens with Android Development.

John, you can resize the keyboard by holding down the bottom right button on the keyboard

HP had a "firesale" for the last remaining touchpad's in stores and on line. They were more in demand that the iPad.

@FrenchValleyAirport I have owned one. The EQ settings are in the actual Settings, not in the music app itself. It's very annoying to go back and forth from app to app. Also, there are no custom settings. You have EQ presets and can't even customize those.

Excellent, as always. Next time, please note the multitasking features, and you CAN resize the keyboard by holding down the button ;)

TOUCHPAD VS PLAYBOOK!!!! this would be great, they have similar OSes :)
