Hypersonic weapons used by Russia against Ukraine | The Hindu

#Russia has reportedly used hypersonic missiles in its war against #Ukraine. Russian President VladimirPutin unveiled the #Kinzhal air-launched hypersonic missile system on March 1. According to reports, these missiles destroyed a large underground warehouse containing Ukraine's own #missiles and other aviation ammunition.

Hypersonic weapons are manoeuvrable weapons that can fly travel faster than 5,000 kilometres per hour. The speed of a hypersonic weapon is at least Mach 5, which is five times the speed of sound.

If Putin has huge stock pile of hypersonic projectiles, then I would worry for the brave Ukrainian. Putin war performance thus far has been dismal, added the atrocities from retreating Russian, civilian quarter bombardment and bunch of dead Russian generals… you would think they brought one hypersonic projectile will make much of the difference.

Another Putin lie. Russia does not have any hypersonic missiles. Not a single one and has presented no evidence of any such missile flying at hypersonic speeds. Sure, they showed some film but that missile wasn't travelling anywhere near hypersonic speed. The Hindu should be ashamed for not researching this story more thoroughly.
