For a common man will call it as stomach pain. Abdomen is below the chest and between the limbs. Causes of Abdominal Pain are very many and it is very difficult to enumerate it, the common causes are discussed. The commonest what we encounter is gastritis, that is rear stomach, when we eat food, if there are ulcers or acidity it is the commonest cause of pain and it happens in the upper, middle or central part of the stomach and it is usually caused by acidity etc. next is colicky pan in the abdomen. It depend on which part of the abdomen. If it is the right side, it is gall bladder stone or it can be kidney pain, if it is lower portion it is urinary blade or from central it is intestinal pain. That will be diagnosed by the doctors. Sometimes Abdominal Pain cam be because of heart attack. Patient should not think it is gastritis. so always consult the doctor what is the cause depends on what they suspect the investigations are done like stool investigation or blood tests to see evidence of infection and clinic examination, ultrasound scanning, CT scan, MRI scan. The other thing is endoscopy, that is upper GI Endoscopy
