I don't know why I hadn't seen this one before. What a sweet setup on a budget and I hope you're still having fun with it.

don't need to spend a lot to enjoy oneself. And you can always upgrade, change, add on, later should you want. Well done.

Nice set up mate & for me the video was much more interesting than just watching a rich guy throwing loads of money at companies to build them a HT that costs as much as an average house.

Same here I keep wanting to have the big budget but time goes by fast and it’s not getting done. You have motivated me to get on with my project.
Thanks great presentation.

Very interesting! I guess if you're happy with what you built that's all that counts. I just built my first dedicated home theater. Cost me about $15k! I had to knock down a wall first to make the room bigger. Most of the gear I already owned. I did purchase a new Denon receiver, amplifier and Epson 5050 projector. Fortunately I had money to spend on this project. Probably the one and only time I would have the chance to do this. Thanks for sharing!

Really nice job. I'll keep the 8" step advice in mind. Stuff like that is always handy to know. Icould build one at home I'm just missing a room to build it in ;)

You can find cheap commercial venue projectors on ebay nowadays. I have a Mitsubishi UD8400U DLP WUXGA (1920x1200) projector and bought it from a local school auction for $150. There's also decent 3LCD venue projectors that are about 10 years old too. Everything goes through my Onkyo NR686 and Polk speakers (center is a cs20, tsi300 towers, and the rest are older T15 bookshelfs for surround)

I had that JBL sub, bought it off of a bargain table at Sears, one of the best I've ever had.

Very nice home theater setup. Looks like a Guzzo cinema theater. Love the footage of Mrs. R.R.G enjoying the Pacman game, i would love to play that arcade style Pacman game. Also your G.I. joe tshirt love it, i also own one.

Great work and great video. You are amazingly skilled. Why do you say that the phone is from New York City? BellSouth was an Atlanta based company.

Like your Home cinema, has that Retro appeal to it...really nice to see the real mCoy cinema seats, sick of seeing those fancy massive recliner seating Video's, ..in the real cinemas the foldback seats is what one would see anyway...

great job in getting it under that budget but I have few gripes since you're into sound acoustics so I think you can put a little more effort into improving the sound, like I noticed that the left speaker sound path is blocked by those Arcade machines, putting the center speaker in the floor is really bad, you can try keeping at least 2 feet above the ground and most importantly, use REW software and tweak the frequency response to a flat level and that will also take care of those null spots in the room....
