Awesome room. Million dollar home theaters are nice and all but I'd rather see practical home theaters for normal people. Again, it's cool to see a home theater where money is no object but what am I supposed to get out of that besides jealousy? I'll never be able to afford 90% of the items most of those HTs feature. And even though the complete $40k price tag is out of reach for me but I can see myself getting a similar result for a much more reasonable $20k (if I cheap out on the custom bits, skip the Valencia seats, buy used components, etc)

Well done Tone. I’d be proud for this to be my primary space for watching movies. Great effort, and thanks for sharing.

Has been great watching this room evolve from your initial UST review room to a room now many would still envy!

I'm not jealous at all of your 2.5 home theaters in your home 😜. The room is looking great, and no doubt it's sounding great, well done.

Hi Tony. Very nice video. You have the same size room as I do, the only difference is, my room is 6.5 meters long and it’s a dedicated theatre room. I am re decorating and trying to sound proof it, and I’m upgrading from 7.2 surround to 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos, I checked out the A8A receiver, but because of the cost, WestCoast HiFi had a special, and the Onkyo TX-RZ70 is 11 channels powered, so I got it while the sale was on. I was using the Onkyo TX-NR708 THX certified.
Your home theatre is very nice, it helps if you can get good discounts. thank you for sharing. Gary 😊

This is an awesome room and an awesome video. When you have a room like this, it’s a lot less formal than a dedicated room, so it gets used more. Also, for those of us with living room setups, we had to deal with some of the same challenges. Great, great. Video

Fantastic room Tony! Thank you for sharing 👍 I also have a dedicated home cinema room with a 5.1.4 setup and a smaller setup in my mancave in a 5.1.2 configuration. It's funny to think that in the beginning I thought I was wasting money when setting up my mancave, but I found myself using it everyday, especially for TV shows which I mostly watch alone

Great video. I sent it as proof to my wife that there are others like me! I notice your surrounds are slightly asymmetrical. Mine are too due to windows. I can’t even tell once it’s calibrated. Some people would tell you not to bother unless you have a textbook setup like Dolby states, but those people would be missing out! Enjoy.

Wow. Stumbled across this vid, and gotta say.. mad respect for what you’ve done! Everything seems really well thought out and implemented! If I could snap my fingers, this is pretty much exactly what I’d like for my startup system when we move into a new rental house! 🎉. Never heard of Krix before but they look well made (the speakers remind me of Arendal drivers).
Ps. It would be really awesome if you could go into more detail on exactly how you set each component up (for example, walk thru each speaker and it’s placement, how you were able to hook it up, why you did it that way, what kind of speaker wire and issues you had to deal with etc. prob take too long but def intrigued. 🎉

Pps. I’d love to see a super large infrasonic sub installed to your system! Like maybe a diy 21/24” gsg/SI ;) 🎉

Great vid bro, and this is not your main setup !!!!
Excuse me but most people would be over the moon if this was their main setup .... looks fantastic.
Sound makes up most of the movie experience so your setup should sound awesome.
I love lighting so I will check out your links cheers mate and enjoy that setup.

I live in QLD but I was in Sydney easter weekend to watch "& Juliet" musical at the Lyric Theatre.

Where did you get the low console that the center channel and receiver sit on?

We need a futon version of those seats, like the cheap on shown in my video Named Home Guest Game Theater Room.

Great room Tony! Thanks for showing us your Grand Barcelona seats. I just heard that D-BOX has discontinued their Home/Residential offering. Any comments or further information on that? I was about to get two seats with D-BOX ... but it maybe a dead technology for the home. Keep the reviews/videos coming, their awesome! Cheers.
