I am so glad you had such good role models around you. The women that were around me all knew how to sew but refused to show me anything. Only my grandmother was willing, but she died when I was 12. I love your work and I am so very blessed to have you passing down what you know. Thank you! 😊

I love sewing and doing small hand crafts. I don't really embroider full things like this, but I have embroidered faces on dolls and stuff. I taught my son to sew a button on his shorts today. And I am teaching to use a sewing machine. These are good skills to have.

My grandma told me stories of my great grandaunt; a highschool principal, hurdle racer, and tailor.

It was common for family members to pile handkerchiefs, clothes, and other articles of cloth onto her whenever she came to visit, all of which she happily spent her hours embroidering. My grandma's prom dress back then was completely handmade by her: embellishments and all. Her biggest wish, which never came true during her life, was to own a sewing machine.

Four generations later: I embroider custom handmade patches for myself and loved ones, and own a sewing machine. A photo of her hangs above the table I do my sewing at. I like to think every time I sit there and work, she watches me proudly. ❤

I have an embroidered bed cover thing from my great grandma that was born in the late 1800s . i em thinking of hanging it on the wall not sure what to do with it but i love it

I like to embellish fabric with thread and heads.

The only embroidery i ever really saw as a kid was just cross stitch or quilts. I wish i had seen something this too. Cross stitch seemed too tedious but this feels like my pencil sketches.
