I always like the part where the guy who collects something and knows pretty much everything about it gets told random well-known fact by the Pawn Stars guys haha

If you want top dollar for your item, don't expect to get it from a pawn shop...

As Pawn Stars became older it started to become a 'show off' your weird cool collection of whatever

I hate how Gene Simmons is always miscredited as having "discovered" Van Halen. He didn't discover them, they were already well known well before Simmons came into the picture. Gene recorded their demo tape, that's all you can give him credit for. He tells the rest of the story his own way because he's a businessman who likes to stretch the truth to self-promote.

Spandex, pink hair, eyeliner? Corey doesn’t know the 80s or VH

I'm a huge Van Halen fan, especially Eddie but, I knew that there was no way this guy would have gotten 100k for his collection! Well, at least not at a pawn shop.

I appreciate how Corey knew that he could only offer him pennies on the dollar and said "Nope"

If that Guitar was "the" Frankenstrat that Eddie played and not a scale model of it, then they would've been talking close to a million dollars for the collection.

Van Halen was the ultimate rock and roll party band of the late 70's and the 80's.

As a huge Van Halen fan, I even laughed at the $100, 000 asking price

Gotta love how they just happens to know a million experts, in literally every field imaginable, who, while not getting paid a dime, will all drop everything and rush over to their pawn shop to do appraisals and history lessons, for free...

What a cool piece of EVH history. Like everyone else, I've seen that video 1, 000s of times. For some reason, I never once thought about what might have happened to the mini Frankenstrat from the video. Now I know!
