About Mortal Kombat 11 (source Wikipedia):

Mortal Kombat 11 follows Shinnok's defeat, and Dark Raiden plans to protect Earthrealm by destroying all of its enemies. Shinnok’s defeat inspires Kronika, Shinnok's mother and the keeper of time, to rewrite history to undo Raiden's interference and erase him from existence.

About Kabal (source Mortal Kombat Wikia):

Kabal is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. He was first introduced in Mortal Kombat 3, as a member of the Black Dragon Clan, sporting long black hair, hook swords, superhuman speed, and a respirator.

At the time of his introduction, he appeared as a force for good, but eventually reverted to his evil ways, planning to place himself as the head of the new Black Dragon Clan.

Kabal was originally going to be named Sandman, with wrist-mounted buzzsaw blades instead of hook swords. This was eventually dropped in favor for his current look.

Who is your favorite Mortal Kombat character and would you like to see Kabal return to the series with or without the respirator mask?

Kabal's ability with the hook swords are insane

The Hookswords are Awesome no doubt about that but unless you have Supernatural Speed or Decades of Training, those weapons are tricky to use

I never really imagined them to be used for war. i always imagined them as martial arts weapons, either for performance or duels.

Kabal is such an odd character. He went from good guy to bad guy, good guy again, bad guy again; yeah. Nonetheless, his mask, use of Hook Swords, super speed and all made him iconic.

I’ve always liked Kabals nonchalant attitude and his unique skins as well, he’s just a vibe imo.

There are some hook swords with a top spike, but I'll be fair and note that you're specifically talking about the ones used by this character in particular.

One of my fave weapon breakdowns so far

I believe hookswords were designed to be carried like a zweihander, in hand and on the way to beef. And due to their thin design you could actually carry both in a single hand pretty easily

Speaking of hook swords, Avatar the last airbender’s weapons and bending styles were based on real martial arts and could be interesting to look over

Another pro: The hook swords had a lot of variants. There's one where it has a point which provides you a very good stabbing and more reach.

Another con: When you use the hook swords when you hook together, there's a chance that you lose one of them.

Also requested for Karl Ruprecht Kroenen's bladed tonfa and the Chinese 9 ring Broad Sword.

Ubisoft made a good stance for them with the nuxia, using it as a reverse grip using the pommel as 2 knives with the light jabs, and the big strikes using the big bladed parts one at the time unless you have a secure grip on the opponent to displace him as needed

This guys house must look like a fantasy armory at this point, the sheer amount of fictional weaponry this man owns is insane
