we dont want more technology, we want a truck we can afford. We don't want a truck that Ford advertises around 30k to cost 50k at the dealership. Americans need a 20ish k pickup that does nothing but drive, have a bed and tow very light trailers.

Only Pepperidge Farm remembers when this was a $20K hybrid truck.

Also touchscreen HVAC and radio controls. HARD pass.

Just insane they advertised this when it came out as sub 20k and increase the price over 30% in 2 yrs

Wow, a hybrid/4k/AWD! But... the deletion of physical controls for HVAC makes me happy to keep my older 2.0L FX4.

The one feature I want is a lower price.

Be careful, people. The demands of the public take the vehicle away from what it originally was. A cost affective little truck. The AWD Hybrid is amazing. But, if you keep going it'll no longer be affordable. Midsize trucks used to be affordable, but the increased options and demands removed that desirable point. Now, this seems to be happening to the small trucks.

I gave up on these trucks when they hit the $30, 000 mark.

Ford lost the plot. Maverick was meant to be cheap cheap cheap

I was not expecting 4, 000 pounds towing with the hybrid. That is very impressive. Some will claim that's not enough power for that weight but they weren't around in the '80s when we were doing more with less. Obviously you wouldn't want to tow that much every day, but for a few times per year for most people it should be adequate.

Before even seeing the video I’m guessing the hybrid now has AWD

When the 2022 Maverick came out, it was $22k with hybrid standard. Now it's $26k? Wow! None were available in 2022 without the excessive dealer markup. So I ordered one in XLT. Due to supply issues, they couldn't build a 2023 for us. So they built a 2024 instead and we took delivery in Jan 2024. The 2024 came standard with a 2.0L and hybrid was a $1500 increase. Also the 2024 models came with a $2000 increase. Ford honored our original hybrid order and price. I then ordered and installed the Ford accessories, fender trim, tailgate lettering decal, hood and lower door decal, tailgate drop shock, and roll-up tonneau cover. My wife gets an average of 45mpg. She LOVES her Maverick! She lets me drive it to the dealer for a carwash once a week...😄

Less horsepower, the best color they’ve made in years only available for one year, no climate control buttons other than the screen. This leaves a lot to be desired compared to the old maverick in my opinion.

I just want an affordable efficient DURABLE small pickup that will LAST, as in decades of light use. I refuse to buy a “new” throw away vehicle especially as expensive as they are. Keep all the “features” and make it durable as hell and affordable!

I really like these trucks but the msrp getting higher is driving me away. By the time I’m ready to buy one they won’t be worth the asking price. I will say the cluster and touch screen were a much needed upgrade. Only other big flaw on the interior IMO is the steering wheel controls. I’ve driven a maverick a few times and the controls are cheap and hard to press. They are just to small. I’m used to my f150 having large buttons. I understand the price will go up by adding these things but the fact the msrp went up $4k from 22-24’ just shows it’s all about the profit at the end of the day. People keep blaming it on inflation.

We didn’t want features we want affordable first truck and it shouldn’t have to be a base model for it to be affordable

I want a base model truck, two-wheel drive, no hybrid, sub-20k price. Like what we could get in the 80's and 90's but of course adjusted for inflation.

Man starting at 27k… no physical hvac they made some good changes then snot themselves in the foot. It originally started at 20 just 2/3 years ago. The price is the whole point and they’re jacking it up. If you’re paying in the 40s for this truck just get a mid size
