Interesting to talk about Wendell but not the 40/42 (Cleveland) area. If you aren’t familiar, I would suggest checking this area out for yourself and clients as it is growing and the completion of the outer belt line is getting closer for the area which will connect it further than the recent expansion of I40 has

40/42 and McGees Crossroads. I moved here 15 years ago. 25 minutes from Raleigh.

The lot sizes are large in much of the area north of 540 because that area is in the Falls Lake watershed, and it's a reservoir for the area. Large lot sizes means more $ for them, which means that the houses end up being pricier. The area just lends itself to single family luxury development.

Flowers Plantation is outside of the Clayton city limits which means we only pay Johnston County taxes and a small yearly fee to Becky Flowers who maintains the community. There isn't much here and Clayton has zero interest in growing so there's very little shopping and restaurants. Plan on spending most of your life in your car.

Before moving go spend some time there and see how horrible it is ....also see how much it it to register your vehicle and yearly tag renewal...you will easily pay $600 ro over $700 just to register it....than every year they assess the value of your car and charge you that price you can pay $170 or over $250 just to renue you tags every year...crime is bad 5 people got shot on the hype this place too much it's not worth it.

North Raleigh is where everybody wants to be?? That's funny. The RADON capital of the east coast. If you drive down streets named LEAD MINE Road and ROCK QUARRY Road to get to your house, that's a bit of a red flag. Any WHY does someone want to live near the airport and listen to airplane noise all the time??
