My question is what about Roxboro? it's also around 55 min from Raleigh like some of the other towns mentioned.. what's your take on Roxboro NC?

As a local of 47 years, I wouldn't touch Cary. More reputation than substance at this point. Apex is great but is basically Cary light. Garner and Clayton are the sleeping giants of the area IMHO. Especially with 540 getting set to open. Although less mom and pops, Garner is basically adjacent to the downtown Raleigh area.

In flowers plantation now. Raised military base east of Raleigh. Went to Peace and UNC chapel hill, RN. Lived north Raleigh by Crabtree, apex, holly springs, wake forest, garner, that big Heritage neighborhood on golf course, lived in carboro when at UNC in college. We are getting out of here. Was looking Jordan lake area. Chatham and Moore counties, want land, farm, hard to get that here. Johnston county used to be lots cheaper but, lol, just another suburb of Raleigh

Rocky mount, nashville are the best bang for ur buck still within 45 minutes of raleigh without the over inflated prices

What is your take on Bunn and Lake Royale living? And people who want small living such as a cottage or tiny home. Or allowing temp trailer/camper life while small or tiny home is being built or bought?

Also curious about some that didn’t make the map. Royal, Riley, Pearces? Is it just wilderness? Lol. Independent land or lots with flex zoning (for the small extremely affordable dream), basic utilities, not larger average size Sq footage and not in cookie cutter subdivisions.
