More and more research done on psychedellic drugs shows that they have an extremely positive effect on neuroplasticity. I how a lot of my emotional and social maturity to magic mushrooms (psylocibin). I used to do a trip (1 to 3g of mushrooms) at least twice a year for the past 9 years and it as done absolute wonders for my knowledge and understanding of my emotions, what I need in life and how to create and maintain strong and healthy social relationships with people (that matters of course).

For the past 6 months i've been microdosing 200mg of psylocibin 3 days out of 5. It feels great and I don't see any downsides when I stop. The only on is I sometimes feel like my stomach is extremely acidic and sometimes I feel like puking but it only last like 10 minutes.

BDNF is a key molecule or compound which plays a key role in neuroplasticity and neurogenesis in the brain.

Key methods to trigger BDNF:
- Sauna (see: Dr. Rhonda Patrick)
- Intense Exercise

Key methods to trigger neurogenesis, the growth of new neurons:
- Cardio (studied in humans)
- Breathwork (studied in mice, holotropic breathing)

It will be interesting to see the interplay between intelligence and neuroplasticity. How much of intelligence is unchangeable?

Hey geniuses in the comments, he’s not telling you to do anything. He’s saying what the research is showing. So, no, he’s not telling you to smoke or chew nicotine gum or anything with nicotine. He clearly states that a number of times.

Do I understand it correctly, that Nicotine Neuroplasticity? What would be the best way to supplement it?

so from what i understand as of right now the best way to get some possible benefit from this is chewing nicotine gum?

So this is probably why smoking hookah stimulates new ideas when I’m making beats

I take those nicotine tablets before bed sometimes and I wake up feeling more refreshed then when I don't. I should look into this more.

I have ADHD. Smoking is cocaine for me as I get the calm and focus on demand. Dopamine.

I started chewing nicotine gum just to stay more focused. And it works for sure. I love it for reading it kind of makes me dive in a little deeper For me it's less of the stimulation and jitters that coffee offers. Like coffee and a ton of other things, yes it's addictive, but there are also a bunch of health benefits that aren't as talked about. Smoking and chewing both have major cancer and health risks that aren't worth it. And when you don't need or want it or you feel like GUM is taking over your life?? have a little self control. :)

Details do matter, but they really dazzle Huberman. He will launch into a technical detail, even a key detail, without setting it up. So when Huberman drops the BIG REVEAL, audiences wonder where it fits. And he goes on and on that way. Any of his own discussions, meaning ones he exclusively gives, typically run an hour and 20 minutes.

By planning his remarks, he could cut everything to 20 or 25 minutes and audiences would get everything without loss of key detail. As is Huberman's explanations are so strung out that one either does not get his meaning or one has to take copious notes then go back to figure out the trend of thought and its key points.

With Huberman, one suffers the same frustration as when listening to somebody who drags out their sentences way out. By the time they come to the verb, one has forgot the subject.

Damn—nicotine? So I have to be willing to kill myself in order to release those acetylcholine receptors?

could tik Tok like phone apps tap into our neuroplasticity? a little far out to think but

Smoking is insanely good. Like, I don't think it's just the addictive properties, especially of all the additives that big tobacco put in their cigs these days, that keep people doing a hugely unhealthy hobby; it is just so damn good that it seems almost worth the health risks, which is saying a lot for cigarettes. I don't think it is worth the stress on your cardiovascular system, fitness, and cancer, but you can't dismiss the positive effects...

Video games (the right kind) have a profound positive effect on neuroplasticity, that has carry over to real world challenges. I credit much of my genius to my obsession with them as a kid.
