In 1998 we lost many famous faces including Sonny Bono, Carl Wilson, Henny Youngman, Lloyd Bridges, Tammy Wynette, Linda McCartney, Phil Hartman, Roy Rogers, Robert Young, Gene Autry, and of course the "Chairman of the Board" Frank Sinatra, to name a few. May they all rest in peace.

Mr. Francis Albert Sinatra / Frank Sinatra; in my opinion, the definitive singing voice of the 20th century.

Lloyd Bridges had a television show called Sea Hunt, which I remember as being very entertaining.

The deaths of JT Walsh, Phil Hartman, Sonny Bono, Michelle Thomas and Tammy Wynette were completely unexpected.

I had turned 24 years old in 1982 when Newhart made its debut. Years later when collecting DVDs on this series the main reason I watched it was because of Mary Frann. I had a humongous crush on her. When I heard in Sept. Of 98 that she had passed away my heart sank. I have seen her on other T.V. shows as a guest star besides Newhart.

I knew who Sherry Lewis was. I really loved her playing lamb chop, Charlie horse, and so many other puppets she is definitely missed. She was really great.

Wow! King of the Cowboys Roy Rogers and 'singing cowboy' Gene Autry in the same year?

1998 was the year that the two greatest singing cowboys of the 20th century passed away. Roy Rogers and Gene Autry.

*Jack Lord suffered from Alzheimer's disease for at least seven years before his death, *

*although some accounts have suggested that he may have had the illness as early as the final season of Hawaii Five-O, in 1979.*

Week Eubank also was the head coach of the Baltimore Colts when they won consecutive NFL championships in 1958 and 1959 in addition to leading the 1968 New York Jets to the AFL championship over the Oakland Raiders and then beating the heavily favored NFL champion Baltimore Colts in Superr Bowl 3. Roddy McDowell also portrayed the villain, the Bookworm on the 1960s Batman TV series. He was also in the horror movie, Fright Night.
