The picture you have of Potter Stewart was actually retired Justice Anthony Kennedy, who is still alive and well.

It might be a little morbid but I find these lists fascinating. For starters, some of the memories of these people like Johnny Olson for example, take me back to my childhood. His voice is so synonymous with any day I was home from school and my mother or grandmother would be watching The Price is Right. Others, I wasn't even aware had passed or can't believe it's been as long as it has since they passed. Good job on tastefully compiling the passing of these individuals. They all contributed in some way or another and deserve a remembrance.

Why is not Grayson Hall not on the list. She was a well known actress and an Academy award winner for Night Of The Iguana. Also a main stay on the 60s soap opera "Dark Shadows" . She played Dr.Hoffman. She passed on August 7 1985 . Due to lung cancer in NYC . She was also on several other tv shows as well .

I was 4 when Johnny Olsen died, and I used to watch Price is Right before going to PM Kindergarten. When his passing was announced at the end of an episode I remember crying and being so upset, and my mother still tells the story of how she had to tell my teacher about it. In reality, as a 4 year old, it was my first experience with death....

Loved Margaret Hamilton she was on an episode of Mr Rogers neighborhood talking about her grandchildren and explaining that the witch was just a part that she played explaining to kids that its nothing to be scared of. What a versatile actress she was Cora for the Maxwell House ads, Grandma Frump Morticias mom in the Addams family, Elaine who worked for Dr. Zorba in 13 Ghosts. Great talent. She seemed like a real nice down to earth lady.

I just watched that episode on Mr Rodgers with Margaret Hamilton. Showing kids there was nothing to be scared of as the Wicked Witch of the West. I used to be so scared myself as a kid, but I thought that was such good episode to show kids it was just acting. Another genius thought by Fred Rodgers

you left something out of Margaret Hamiltons thing, she used to be a school teacher, ironically she adored kids, when what made her famous would scare them for life

Great list. One death not mentioned that I remember was Samantha Smith. She was that girl who wrote a letter to the Kremlin begging for peace then she got to go visit. She was starring on a TV show when she was killed in a helicopter crash in 1985.

You did not include Kent Smith, who played Dr. Morton on the TV version of Peyton Place, which ran from 1964-69, not to mention Dolph Sweet, who played widower Police Chief Carl Kadinsky on the TV sitcom Leave Me Alone, 1981-87.

I remember listening to K92(a country station) in Orlando when the DJ played the latest song by The Statler Brothers "Hello, Mary Lou ", then announced Ricky's death. Then played Ricky's version.😢
