I absolutely adore Kuru Toga Mechanical Pencils! the line work you get with these are some of the smoothest ever i have a red, blue and green one which i use for animation work and they are my ol' relliables when it comes to that

I also love the Pental graphgear series

Oh thank god they made the eraser normal size. The other kuritoga metal ones i have use the thin little black erasers. Not really good for the amount of mistakes i make😅

Finally someone says what these are actually built for. I always see the same “I like my pencils unevenly sharp it makes it look much better, ” cool, they’re extremely useful for kanji. Especially when writing small, the self sharpening makes kanji legible and works best in this condition

my only gripe with the kuru toga is the lead/lead holder slightly shakes when im about to draw/write down, as an architecture student its a lil bit off for me since it kind of mess up my sense whether my pencil is actually touching my paper but its good for writing!
if someone's out there thats looking for a mechanical pencil for drawing, look elsewhere, I've heard that the graph gear series is also good, but i use my rotring tikky for now since it came along with their technical pen set

I hope they're selling this on Amazon, can't wait for it

It looks great but the non rectractable tip is the deal breaker for me. If it fall down tip first, it will break easily

I love stationary too much
I know that once I arrive in Japan I'm spending far too much on pencils, pens, and paper

They ate with this, but idk how hard it is to come out with a Japanese-made rotring 600 knockoff that uses the kuru toga mechanism. I’d pay $200 for that as an engineering student. There’s something about this one that tells me I probably won’t have it for more than a year

That's a very nice pencil, I wish I knew how to write.

Is this better than dive? I think the dive is superior

I use pencil on a daily basis. This would be great to have.

Is it okay to retract the lead on this pencil once you’re done writing?

Is there an extra fine or fine point pen similar quality to this?
