Thank you very much. in newer version some thinks are a little different. example-> in /etc/squid/conf.d/* is one line you have to edit. or you have to edit in squid.conf

Hi, i followed your videos for squid basic config, and its working with me 100%, but the problem now is that i want to configure squid to forward some requests to an other proxy as a parent, but the real problem is that the parent require authentification :
here is my config :

cache_peer X.X.X.X parent 8080 0 default no-digest login=PASSTHRU name=ftgroup
acl REFONLINE_ACCESS dstdomain .itn.ftgroup
cache_peer_access ftgroup allow REFONLINE_ACCESS
never_direct allow REFONLINE_ACCESS

This is good video for setting the proxy without authentication.

But can anyone tell me how to setup a server with proxy authentication. Like we have a network which uses proxy with authentication. Need to configure squid so that, we can give this machine one which we have created squid and use internet on other machines directly.

Thanks a lot for the videos :) specially squid tuto, i followed these steps and i found them so helpfull, and then i switched to webmin administration web interface, actually i have an issue with squid, hope you can help me, now i m have to cinfigure a parent proxy for certain domains and the proxy requires authentification, can you help me in this using webmin or squid.conf file !
