Alex Ferguson won 2 champions leagues in 27 years at united, he just about won the one due to terry slipping on his backside yet nobody goes on about this 👀

Laura can’t stop licking her gums or touching her nose. Wonder why?

Failure is harsh he’s turned that club into a world beating beast that’s a success in itself

Champions league is about heritage which is why only Real M, AC Milan, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Man U, Juventus and Barcelona have either won it in the last 25 years or appeared in multiple finals. Chelsea broke the mold in 2012 and now have heritage in it but it's usually only the historically big boys who can handle the latter stages of the competition and City so far have proved fragile when it comes to the crunch against those with heritage who can draw on that past champions energy.

He definitely needs a couple more European Cups on his CV

He’s always managed clubs with big bank accounts that can break ffp rules whenever they want

Yes, he should be deemed a failure for not winning it with that squad

Most defintley not. Broke most records in PL history in shortest amount of time, countless trophies when everyone said he is style wouldn't work in a physical league.

Of course it is. City had already won premier League titles before he arrived. The reason he was brought to the club was to win the champions League.
Let's face it, he's been there years, spent well in excess of a billion euros, has 22 world class players - including the best striker on the planet, so he has absolutely no excuses.
Even winning it once would still be a failure in the context of the backing he's received. Great managers and great clubs win the Champions League multiple times.
Pep has been found out. Simple as.

As a city fan we should have already won this cup in 2021 we bottled it

Pep is a genius as a manager, there’s no doubt, but it absolutely should cast doubt over his resume. He’s a GOAT candidate coach so we don’t compare him to just anyone, we compare him to the all time great managers of the sport. If he doesn’t win a champion’s league at city, it’s not that his tenure was a failure, but it does mean he will have managed 3 superteams that frankly were winning before he got there and the only time he won the Champion’s League was with arguably the greatest club team of all time.
When you consider mourinho won the tournament with Porto and Inter Milan I think you have to question if Pep is truly a GOAT candidate or simply an elite manager.

Pep legacy is cemented anything else he achieves is a bonus. Only the English feel this way because, he proved them wrong every time. He changed the way football is played in England.

Glory supporters are so bizarre. Any true fan would class one single trophy as a success.

Let me get this straight. If Pep fails to win the Champions League... is that a failure to win the Champions League? Duh.... yeah, it is! The media don't half talk dumb sometimes. 🙄

I think he is the greatest league manager of all time but he needs to win another CL without Messi, Xavi and Iniesta to take him to that next level.

100% yes - he's already thrown away two chances - his fault - not the teams - he bottled it. this year they'll smash it with bigman up front.

They've cheated, so the integrity of every competition they win should be questioned

As a City fan and having this discussion yet again with other fans recently, I always say let's go back to when we were struggling in the old 3rd division in 1998 at good old Maine Rd, (Platt Lane Boy)and to where we are now. What we have achieved
since then has been an amazing journey. Obviously a UCL under Pep would be the pinnacle for City, and Pep definitely wants/needs it for his CV. I feel personaly he should have a least 1 with City alla Chelsea, but it has not happened. Pep to leave City without winning a UCL, I think he would feel unfulfilled, in my opinion.
C'mon you Blues let's put Bayern to the sword tonight.
MCFC 🔵💙 always rising. 👍🏾

This is not Ligue 1 where the League doesn't matter, , he has achieved More than Wenger in less than half the years Wenger was at Arsenal so Pep is no failure cause he hasn't won the UCL. Remember in all of Man United's existence and dominance they have only three.
