Ernie, Charles, Kenny & Shaq couldn't shake Giannis Antetokounmpo's thoughts on failure, and revisit his comments to take a deeper dive.

The way Giannis called the reporter his first name and the way he did not go personal is the reason why he's a definition professional athlete.

What Kenny said really stood out for me. “When you win, you hurt yourself by thinking you’re doing everything right”.

I love how Shaq said “if you said I failed 16 years, you’re right” but if you actually tried to use that argument you’d know he’d bring his 4 rings up😂

Shaq was talking about success in the NBA. Ernie, Kenny, and Charles were talking about how a person views success in their own life. Very deep. 👍

See, this is why I love this crew: this ain’t just a basketball conversation. This is a genuine life conversation about what failure is and how to handle it. I love all 4 of these guys perspectives.

Shout out to the whole panel… Chuck for his humility.. Kenny for his ambassadory skills… Shaq for keeping it real and Big E for being the goat

As a teacher coming off a tough week where I felt pulled in every direction, Chucks comments hit deep. I may not make lots of money but I know if I don't show up to work Monday, I let down 140 students and I know they need me. Thanks Chuck!

Great commentary. As a psychologist who only works with veterans, many who come to my office think similarly to Shaq, but they feel ashamed for the failure. We distinguish between a failed goal vs. a failed person in therapy all the time, as well as the definition of success. There are many ways to be successful, but usually it has to do with relationships, making good decisions/behaviors, and working hard.

Failure is a mindset. Like a saying goes, " Either I win or I learn. I never lose." Looking at where Giannis has come from and where he is right now, he is absolutely right in saying, "these are not failures, these are steps to success."

"Ernie's lost 25 STRAIGHT Emmys"😂😂😂 Gotta love Sir Charles and the crew. Great segment and even better breakdown

Charles made a great point about how from a young age we are told materialistic things are tied to success. When in fact, it should be about being happy and content

What Giannis said was definitely profound! What Kenny added is also very positive. Many people don’t seem to understand that “success” is a process. It takes steps to get to the next level in whatever you do. Keep working and remain steadfast! Success comes in many ways.

A lot of interviews seem scripted but Giannis shows by body language and vocal sound volume that he genuinely meant what he was saying. Respect for changing perspectives to fans

This is why I prefer NBA on TNT than NBA on ESPN. Shaq, Kenny, Charles and Ernie don't just discuss the stats of the NBA games, they discuss the aspects of life regarding the sport. They're very fun, entertaining, and genuine with their comments. Real deep stuff.

I love how Shaq brought the opposite perspective with his own nuance and it was also deeply inciteful too. And Kenny with his own perspective too. One of the great conversations on TV ever.

What Charles said is glorious. It doesn't matter if you're a trashman, secretary, make a lot of money, etc. If you are a good person and do the best you can you are not a failure.
In my opinion success if what you have attained within. To have lasting happiness is to be a success.

Dude, Chuck's response was one of those times where I couldn't stop nodding my head the whole time he was talking. Man was spitting truth.

As a Suns fan, who has despised Giannis for beating us in the finals, this answer from Giannis and the maturity he showed made me have so much more respect for him. He handled this question, which was definitely a passive aggressive question, perfectly. He showed grace, maturity, and professionalism in a time where most players don’t.
