Are Flagship CPUs Getting Too Hot To Be Cooled Conventionally?

With the latest processors now getting hotter than ever, mainly from Intel, are conventional cooling methods now dead in the water? Is air no longer man enough to keep an i9 at reasonable levels? Are AIOs not able to tame them either? What's next in terms of being able to cool these super hot processors?

What do you think is next in an attempt to keep processor temperatures under control?

Have CPU speeds reached the limit, I wonder? They been stuck around 3.5ghz at standard speed for a long time now. My first PC was only 200mhz, lol back in the late 90s. If PCs were people my first PC would now be living in an old peoples home, drooling going do alley.

I def agree with this I have a zalman CNPs10x, not a very small tower cooler a bit mid size if not a bit on the large size almost 1kg in heatsink mass and I have a i5 13600k that is insanely difficult to cool even whilst just playing games at stock settings, I have just ordered a scythe FUMA 2 rev.b which should be better, we shall see how it goes.

was you talking about The VapoChill CPU cooler?

I think we will see ducts come back. A CPU fan that has a duct directly to fresh air and another that exhausts immediately outside the case. And maybe built in CPU cooler support brackets in cases.

Hotter CPUs are not an issue for me. I've been water-cooling via custom loops for over ten years.

doesn't mention anything about Q&A in the video title

Direct die cooling is the way forward, I look forward to the widespread Acceptance and CPU designs that allow it

personally, i don't have a major issue with the price point of the 4070ti which is why i bought one. from a purely price view you 17%-25% less performance from what ive seen with the 4070ti but it costs 33% less at the two lowest price points. i dont see how the 4080 could be better value?

yeah you may need an i9, but do you need the 12 k camera? i don't think so. so you don't need an i9 tbh
