Saturday Night Live has been a mainstay of weekend television since the 1970s, and a lot of things haven’t changed much over the years. The show’s production schedule is the same as it always was, it’s still making fun of politicians left and right, and it is still seen as a serious starting-off point for comedians who want to make it big in show business.

The biggest untold truth of SNL is that it isn't funny at all. Virtually every sketch MadTV ever ran had me rolling in the floor, and every actor on that show was gold, especially Michael McDonald. Virtually every sketch of SNL leaves me feeling terribly awkward for the actors and the live audience. (Like, the same feeling I get when a twelve-year-old tries to tell a joke.)

The Land Shark skit... and everything John Belushi did... "Killer Bee's" and Samurai Futoba and Cheeseburger Cheeseburger Cheeseburger ! ...and Eddie Murphy's "Mr Robinson's neighborhood" skit...I still remember trying in vain to catch my breathe between fits of laughing so hard it hurt. Legendary comedy skits for 40 years.

To include Leslie Jones in the group in the beginning... she's easily the worst person on the show. All she does is loud roles where she's very forward with her sexual remarks. It may have been funny at first, but it got stale quick. Don't support her just because it's trendy.
