I have a suggestion for the hot tub. Find something cheap to protect the cover of the hot tub from the sun. I've had to replace the cover on my hot tub a couple of times because the sun eventually destroys the vinyl, and new covers are NOT cheap! Thanks for the video.

I have a hot tub at my house, "not off grid", but my cover is black and I installed a preheat water tank, also painted black, to help heat the water. We have gobs of sun here in Florida, but im going to adapt the idea to my off grid cabins in Wisconsin and Missouri. Thanks for the info! Love what ya'll are doing ❤

You could use an electric water heater, point of use, etc to use your solar when your batteries are full. Free heat.

Just a thought.

One could have a large tank to heat with extra power and use it during the winter or shoulder seasons to heat your house with a radiator for someone without a heat pump. Or a way to store energy until needed. Endless possibilities.

For the first 18 months we were here our only baithing was our hot tub, the only way to heat it was to drop super heated rocks in it from the campfire. it was terrible. On the plus side, bath night always evolved in to date night out there in the hot tub in the dark, in the woods with our white gas lantern flickering away

Loved the disclaimer at the beginning of the video LOL ... Million dollar question did it stop them from telling you what you did wrong? It is always great to have a hot tub on the property!

Great video. I’m so looking forward to seeing ours up someday. How long do you leave the water in the fall? Thanks for all the help!

How about jets? Would the power consumption for that just be too insane to be worth it? Also I've wondered since way back when you first set it up, why no insulation around the inside of the tub? Would it, again, not be worth it?

In the background, I see the mini split. If you had to do it over agin, would you put the mini split under the deck a little more to keep it out of the elements? Stay warm and God Bless.
