I saw on a PBS special that Ancient Africans and Egyptian used wooden combs. They have found them buried with their owners. They were in great condition as well. I'll be ordering myself a comb soon. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Thats why I use a boar bristle brush! It also soaks up the carrier oils and essential oils and not only the brush smells wonderful but a lot of the times I just brush my beard with the brush and the oils make my beard feel and smell wonderful (even if I don't have time to put oils in my beard cause I'm on the go or something)

One question that I have is since it retains oils from when you infuse it with the castor oil and such, wouldn't there be a high chance of the wood absorbing the natural oils from your hair, therefore, drying it out? Just a question not hate.

I was today years old when I found out about wooden combs and boar bristle brushes. Plastic combs and nylon brushes are all I ever used, and I'm 56. However, I'm growing out a buzzcut/ pixie and I want my hair to grow as healthy as possible so I've been doing research the last few days. Of course I've heard about boar bristle brushes in the past but I never gave them much thought. And honestly, I've never heard of wooden combs, which seems silly, because ancient people's didn't have Plastic and such and I'm sure they didn't just walk around with matted up hair. So of course they would have carved combs out of wood. What about bone or horn combs though? What is your opinion on those?

Oh you infuse them yourself and maybe that why it's not on Amazon. If this was on Amazon it would blow up and that would be a lot of work to keep up on. I've been looking for wooden picks in the style you have on Amazon and it's no where to be found.Yeah I see this brand going far.
