Great video! I've got a 930 in blue 1997 make with Judy XC front suspension, I've converted mine to disk brakes and it's the best bike I've ever ridden.

I had a red 950 around 1991-92 that was very similar to yours. It was a great bike that I wish I still had.

I have the same bike, mine is Forrest green, i bought it used probably over 20 years ago, it had a suspension fork on it which I took off & put the original fork back on, only now I need to figure out how to do the front brake cable, there’s no hanger . The cable hanger on the suspension fork is built in, also I need a new rear derailleur shifter, Any suggestions ?

I love the build. Just got my hands on a Trek 930 too and I am also struggeling with the long stem. Do you by any chance remember the measurements of the quill stem adapter? Does it need to be 1" or 1 1/8"?

Love the bike. I live in Texas we had some snow a couple aweeks back that melted then refroze and turn to ice. I was ridiing my hybrid bike that uses 700x35 tires thought i could make it across the patch with no issues. Not so much i stayed upright but the bike took the fall for me. I guess i needed some fatter tires..🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

Have you ever tried making a klunker with a goal to the ultimate performance in light weight and handling with the parts you have on hand; Weighing the fork and all components to make it a screamer? That would be fun to ride. A race klunker under 30 lbs.

Any idea why it's called "single track"? Is it just a branding choice or is there such a thing as a single track type bike?
