In this video, I show how to build an Automatic Chicken Farm in Minecraft 1.21! (Tutorial)
This Chicken Farm is very easy to build and super efficient. It will give you a lot of Cooked Chicken and Feathers per hour!
The list of materials required to build this farm is easy to obtain and is shown at the beginning of the video.
This Farm works on Java edition in version 1.21 and below. I did not test it on the Bedrock edition.

The farm is not working properly as of version 1.21.3, but there is an easy FIX for it!

imagine for a moment being these chickens. born beneath a searing hot ceiling, squished against your brothers and sisters knowing that the moment you hit puberty it's all over. you will eventually no longer be able to duck and hold your head against the boiling roof designed to kill you, only for a machine to take you succulent cooked flesh and provide it to your sick captor in front of your younger brothers and sisters. woe is the life of a minecraft chicken

For the Java version, the cooked chicken burns in the lava, replacing the hopper with a hopper cart prevents this.

For bedrock users,
This is oddly specific and a little bit harder to obtain as you will need a silk touch pickaxe and a known geode location. However I recommend using a “medium size amethyst cluster” block to replace the slab.

Not only does this remove the restriction of how many chickens can be in one block of space (meaning you can have as many chickens in the kill chamber as your device/console can handle), but it’s also the perfect height for those baby chickens to grow into adult chickens to be harvested. I have had a 100% return rate on cooked chicken and feathers.

Specific and late to the video, but none the less I hope it helps someone.

IF YOU HAVE EGGS GETTING STUCK. USE A WATER BUCKET. Drop the water very quickly and itll move the chickens and eggs around, should move the eggs into your dispenser.

Currently this design hits the baby chickens with the eggs so they all immediately die in the lava.

For 1.21 Java players, it’s better to use the campfire block that has been extinguished (using water) instead of the slab where the baby chickens stand and lower your chest one level and place an additional hopper leading to the chest along with a hopper minecart on it. This will solve both uncooked chicken drops and burnt cooked chicken issues.

see, my problem with this is that when the egg shoots into the little area and makes a chicken, if another egg gets shot, it kills the baby chicken by knocking it up a little and killing it in the lava

For the burning issue, I replaced the slab with a whole cake. Slightly shorter than the slab and won’t burn or interfere with the dispenser

as i lead the chickens into the glass box, i whisper, "follow me, little ones. i am totally not going to confine you into a box for the rest of eternity, sacrificing you children for my own personal gain.." *evil laugh*

EVERYONE STRUGGLING WITH THE FARM. MAKE SURE TO PLACE THAT BLOCK AT THE END. AND ALSO MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING A DISPENSER NOT A DROPPER

If its not automatically shooting the eggs, there needs to be a block in front of that side redstone repeater

To fix the issue of the lava burning the baby chickens, replace the lava with a cauldron filled with lava and replace the slab with a stonecutter. Hope this helps!

WARNING: Old video re-uploaded. The chickens burn too quick now with lava. Barely works. You NEED to replace the slab with a day/night sensor as it is slightly shorter than a slab and it works PERFECTLY. EDIT: Confirmed for Bedrock - not sure about Java)

For anyone confused on the clock, You just need to add a repeater facing the dispenser then wire the redstone there

If your dispenser isnt dispensing on bedrock, try placing a stone block behind the 2nd placed repeator at 01:03 it should be touching the dispenser and the repeater. Or if you're using daylight sensor it won't work in daylight.

A lot of items get burned, but I found an easy fix that makes this farm PERFECT. Replace the lava with a cauldron of lava, and replace the the slab with a stonecutter. The cauldron prevents the items from burning and the stone cutter raises the adult chickens up so their heads are only 1.25cm (I did the math) in the lava.
