This works by the chickens laying eggs, the dispenser dispenses them out and then the baby chickens grow up and die to the lava.

What is the material called that you need five of?

If you dont wanna go to the nether for quarts to get the observers or dont have access to the nether make a redstone reapeating circut circle

(the 4 repeater 4 redstone circle that you use a redstone torch to make a repeating circut)
And connect it to the dispenser it will be louder but a good substitute till you get quarts
