I built a version of this recently. I was wondering why I would keep getting feathers and no cooked chicken. It was all going into the lava, just like you said. I put a minecart with hopper where you have the hopper (since those grab items quicker) and then I put a hopper under that. I started getting cooked chicken! But I'm sure some was still burning. I didn't think of the solution you shared. I love it!

i made the farm split up my eggs then half went to the actual farm but half went to my friends base to get dispensed he never found why he had so many chickens spawning in his base

I normally use a comparator and two repeaters, never thought to use burnout torches. Very nice and efficient.

The crusher was exactly what I was looking for, i don't want to cook the chicken since I'm playing a modded minecraft with more food stuff, so this made me glad to find! Thanks for including the non-cooker version!

Very good! You can also improve it by adding more hoppers with chickens, but the income is small cuz of chicken growing time is long, but you dont have to do anything and get a free food

Need someone's help. I built this farm but im having an issue with the top hopper not grabbing the eggs and funneling them into the dispenser. How do i fix this?

Love this channel so far. New to the farming thing, but followed this exactly and worked the first time on Java 1.21. Good thing I built it away from my house cuz it is pretty noisy but no biggie. Thanks for the great info!

if you have problems try to box in the hopper entirely. it worked for me only after i did that

Could always have the raw chicken go into a smoker with fuel

Hey the farm that I built works but the eggs are not getting collected in the hopper and I have to collect them and then put them into the dispenser can you tell me what's the issue

All of my chicken was burning so I just replaced the lava with a solid block so that way they would suffocate and then I could just cook it with a camp fire.

1: why do you need specificly 24 chickens?
2: do eggs from dispensers always drop chickens?
