I'm sure you've already been made aware. the rear slot, which you believe to be a, "3rd cup holder." Is actually a cell phone charger. But you still present in your usual impeccable way. Absolutely impressive vehicle, isn't it? I have a, C6, and some sixteen years later! And it's still fun!

The C8 Corvette might destroy the used exotic sports car market. Why buy a seventeen-year-old Ferrari 360 when you can have a brand new Corvette C8 with a factory warranty? And very possibly have a nice chunk of change left over. The C8 was benchmarked against the Ferrari 458. What an achievement! I like it without any spoiler.

That cup holder you mentioned between the two seats is actually a wireless charger on the upper trims.

Mike, for me, as a driving enthusiast who prioritizes communication from the car, I'd say three things.
1. The car is a better package that most supercars if you consider maintainace, parts and long term ownership.
2. The car must be bought with GMs class leading magnetic dampers. It's transformative.
3. The engine is amazing. It would be an exotic in Europe being an naturally aspirated V8. Just because it's common in NA we don't value it as much. The Z06 engine is unnecessary but icing on the top.
4. What kills this car for me (and Mustangs but not the Camaro) is the steering ratio is too slow (its nearly 16:1 vs driver focused sports cars which are well under 14:1) and there is ZERO feedback from the tires through the wheel. It's like a simulation steering. This is the one area where Porsche just mops the floor with GM and of course the Lotus Evora/Emira). Drive a GR86 and then a C8 back to back and you will notice the poor steering. If they fix this I think C8 is easily one of the best sports cars made.
5. I want a manual someday. Hoping they do it once the hype is done and sales slow.

Double side note.. my C8 just arrived! Waited just under 3 years for it. So damn excited.. to put it in storage for 4 months until the snow leaves!😒

Mine is being built this week - ordered at msrp from Ciocca Chevrolet - paying msrp and built my spec for the car within a week and the car is coming from the factory in about 7 weeks later. Ciocca also has a lot of brand new C8’s as well on their lot most of the time if your not the patient type of person. Ask for Matthew and let him know Jeff sent you to him.

So actually that "Third cup holder" Is actually for holding your phone and can be used as a wireless phone charger! Great technology in the c8, they really thought of everything!

Ordered Z51 last day of November. Will pay $5000 over MSRP. Was on MacMaulkin list but an allocation became available 20 miles from me. A car in ATX is better than one much later in NH.

I placed my order two years ago and my C8 just arrived but I must be honest it was worth every year and every minute I waited.

Believe the hype, the Chevrolet Stingray, C8 is the real deal.

I own 23 C8 2LT Z51 Mag Ride. Never ever been a “Vette Guy” and I love this car! If you’re on the fence get one! Just don’t wear white New Balance sneakers and jean shorts like so many owners do.
