2023 Chevy Corvette Stingray Review | 70 years of Corvette

Zero to 60 in less than three seconds pairs well with looks that would fit a Ferrari.

The Chevy Corvette looks good at seventy years old. Now a mid-engine sports car, it keeps a big, American V8 engine behind the seats, rather than in front. Performance is better than ever, with a zero to 60 mph sprint coming on in less than three seconds. But how is the Corvette as a winter sports car? Chevrolet fitted this one with winter tires for New England, and Cliff Atiyeh sees just how much heat he can enjoy from that powerful V8.

The entire C8 series is turning into one of the most spectacular series of sports cars EVER. Its the limit handling and chassis, and many are saying the same thing.

C7 Vette had a sequential automatic, C8 has dual clutch, really different transmissions all together.

Some of the clowns commenting just can't get it thru their heads that the substantial performance increase required a mid engine or a large heavy battery. I enjoy my C8 more than my Ferrari, Viper, or 911 Turbo 😊. If you don't like it, buy something else.

Even at 100 grand I would prefer this over a used European equivalent like a Ferrari 360. You can drive the hell out of it and at the end of the day it's a Chevy. It's classy enough without being pretentious. Personally I love it in orange without any rear spoiler. Chevy engineers knocked it out of the park on this one!

Not available in a manual transmission is a deal breaker for me. It’s lazy driving & sad. I get that it’s more marketable as an automatic, but one should at least have the option especially at the $80k+ price mark. I also would have loved to see an anniversary model that really pay homage to the classics & it’s history. I do like the styling but a refined & updated version of the classic body style would’ve been cool. Being a mid engine now, the signature side vents are now behind the door & look more like sound holes from sub boxes, lol! 70 freaking years, give me a STINGRAY CORVETTE with nostalgia & modern accents. Maybe if I got to drive one I’d change my mind. I’m currently an Audi driver because American cars have become so lackluster & not made for someone who really can DRIVE!

You’re right about one thing….it’s a great car but about almost everything else, you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about.

3600 lbs may be light today but my 2001 Corvette Convertible weighs 3100 lbs THAT's LIGHT and with the 400 lightly modded horsepower it has it feels even lighter but yes I do love the C8

The mission statement at the reveal for the C8 Chevorlet Corvette was the $60, 000 base supercar; so to a certain extent, it’s very disappointing to see the msrp of this non-ZO6 with an appearance package costing $100, 000.

One of the best reviews on the C8 I have seen. I have a 2023 Torch Red Coupe 2 LT with Z51 package, and I did wait 1 year for it but worth the wait. I am so glad it has the great 8 speed automatic
probably would not bought it otherwise. Love the car and get many complements on it.

As an owner of a 23 Z51 coupe I can attest to your comments and opinions about the C8. 6 months and 5k miles into ownership and no major issues with build quality or drive train operation. If you want a hot rod to burn rubber and do donuts get a stick C7, they are a beast. If you want the ultimate all around American made driving experience try a C8
