This is so me, except most of my buying is online. Where I live there isn’t a huge amount of yarn stores, so much more variety online. Then when it arrives it’s like being a child at Christmas, lol. I currently have 2 90Litre tubs full of yarn.

No need to explain. Anyone who knits/crochets have faced this problem whenever working on a project. You definitely don't want to have to buy more yarn because you will definitely get distracted when there's new yarn available or a sale. That's why I generally opt to stick with small items like baby stuff.

I start crocheting NICU caps, then prayer shawls, then needlepoint....
I had to stop and give myself permission to figure out how to make a corner to corner baby blanket until I get it right. Then I'll try your temperature blanket.
