Imagine going to a charity shop to buy a book and walking home with annotations from your fave booktuber

18:30 I read a copy of this book that was a gorgeous green cloth bound book with bee engravings in the cover, sprayed edges, and bee artwork throughout.

I'm Swedish and I've heard that the reason they changed the name of A Man Called Ove was because we already have a Swedish adaptation with the original name and out of respect to the original crew they didn't want to just make a replacement, but their own take on it instead. So the name change is to distance it a little from the Swedish adaptation.

the transition from drake's 'book' to The Tattooist of Auschwitz gave me whiplash 😂

Jack having a breakdown because of SJM's titles is something I never knew I would relate to :))

Our taste in books doesn’t even match but you are such a good and smooth talker that I cannot not watch your every video. Its so fun to listen to you rant about your likes and dislikes.

The Lies We Tell Ourselves by Jack Edwards needs to be a thing.

There's a good game to be made out of coming up with Sarah J Maas titles. It's too much fun. EG: "A sea of time and toadstools", "A fall of swans and soldiers", "A cauldron of nuns and pitchforks."

Getting rid of books because they seem haunted is something I didn't expect, but I am 100% on board with

(also I know someone who would LOVE some cursed books, so donating them is a very good idea!)

I had no space in my home for books, and it hurts my heart to see them collecting dust in a corner, so I decided to donate them to my local library. If I ever need to reread one, it's just around the block and better kept.

😂 i love how the Nazi story includes the line “I don’t feel like it was my fault because I was just doing what I was told”

Harry Potter was always called “philosopher’s stone” and only got changed to “sorcerer’s” when published in the US, I think cause it was gonna be a more interesting/appealing title to that audience of people? I’m from Australia and always known it as philosopher’s!

As someone who couldn't even think about doing this a couple of years ago, in December I decided to do an unhaul and I took out of my shelves around 400 books that were just sitting there... I still have more than a thousand, but 400 books are A LOT of books and I felt quite good. It was a freeing experience :))).

Based on your reading taste, I wouldn’t say you’re missing out on Terms and Conditions. I personally quite enjoyed it, and it can be read as a standalone, but knowing what you like to read, I don’t know how much you really would have enjoyed it.

“Francis” Bueller’s Day Off is such a charming British mis-remembering of Ferris Bueller 😄
