I really love my Ioniq 6 limited for all the reasons you mentioned--charging, controls, Android Auto, Surius XM, covered sun roof-not glass roof.

Hyundai dealers seem to be offering larger discounts on the SEL than they offer on the Limited. The SEL has better rear headroom because it does not have the sunroof.

Good review. I’m not trading in my M3 for it, but I know there are those who don’t want Tesla for whatever reason. So it’s good there’s this choice. And your review covers it all, good and not so great points - which every single product made has.

Nice job, Max!

I was sooo close to making this my first EV. The charging network ended up being a big reason I went Tesla.

As someone with a P2 that doesn't road trip much (unless it's relatively close, 1-3 times a year) I'll take/keep the P2 over this. Love the utility of the liftback and the google software.

Can't wait to see the 10% challenge on the Ioniq 6.

Whatever happened to the 10% Challenge for the Mustang Mach-E?

Price starting at 60k in Finland for Ioniq 6, no small battery option. Model 3 refresh, 44k.

Drove the M3 and the Ioniq 6 is a better car. It rides better, it's quieter, etc., and I do like a few extra knobs and buttons. The Tesla's have better tech and charging network but since 95% of my charging is done at home or work that's not a problem. Plus, here in Canada Tesla is more expensive than the Ioniq 6 for what you get.

The LRDM Polestar 2 is still my choice.

I got the 2024 limited a few weeks ago and coming from the 2020 prius prime it is nice that it's android auto and carplay but I ended up getting a wireless carlinkit adapter.

Max, I love the Ioniq 6, and test drove it. I ended up buy the Tesla model 3 RWD. Although it is a really nice and great driving car, the price difference was too wide for me to buy it. Not to mention the public charging network. Got to add that I don't like Elon Musk's politics, but value of the Tesla model 3 RWD is hard to beat. If the Ioniq 6 was in the mid 30, 000 price range then it would be at a more competitive price.

Very cool. Nothing wrong with that look and style.

Ty Max, informative and nice presentation and review, and tons of info, as usual. For me, the more I watched, the more I loved my MYLR.
I do currently own and Santa Fe and a Palisade, and they are very good ICE cars, but awaiting an R1S & an R1Tto replace them.

I liked it in pictures but in real life not the good imho. Only see a few here in sf bay area. Like 1 or 2 a week. For comparison I see 20 Tesla model Y in a few mins. And I am some one who doesn't like Teslas even though we own 2 of them. Competition still has ways to go.

Rode in the model 3 today back seat. Felt like I was in a lowered Corolla. Rather buy this and be comfortable.

Good vehicle and we really need more new sedans on the road IMO.I just find the front and rear over styled. Interior is fine. I don't know if the pixel theme will age well. We'll see. Hope to see more of these on the road. Right now, it's rare to see one. Polestar 2, depends where you are. Tesla makes the best BEV, Polestar the most solid car (based on Volvos), Kia maybe the smoothest riding one with the largest interior space.

i dont like the pixel theme on it, but i do like the shape of the car, really though its not a 2seater 2 door coupe so its a disappointment as a sports coupe

it's too bad the Hyundai IONIQ 6 is stuck using the inferior CCS public charging network.
