Making a Coleman CT200U go faster with very little effort.

This bike comes painfully slow and going up hills are next to impossible for heavier riders. Getting rid of the throttle limiter or governor helps quite a bit and you don't have to open the engine.

I drilled out the screw to my CT100U. I put a screw and a nut in the hole to slow it down when my 8 year old nephew rides it.

I did this and I got it to well over 20 now. I need a guide on flipping the clutch and eliminating the extra chain for more gains lol from what I read it’s easy.

If you drill a small hole in the moving bracket, cut and bend a z in the governor rod, you'll haul butt. Did that to mine and its a speedy monster now. Restricted the governor on my cc100x and it went from 20 mph to 40 mph. Haven't speed tested the 200 yet.

I just turned the screw a little hard and the tack weld broke

someone help me, I unscrewed the screw and now it goes really fast to the point where it makes a popping noise after I Let go of the throttle. Can someone let me know if this is good or if I should put the screw back in

Bend the tab backwards, if you bend it the way the video shows it will still catch.

Lol the gas from the carburetor went through the pistons and into the oil, and since it wasn’t lubricating, the gears heated up and then cooled, fusing them together, and now I have a seized engine 🤣

Would you be able to cut the screw just completely

I did this and the zip tie mod my bike isn't running anymore for some reason what could be the problem

Do you know if you can fold the tab down the other way? That would probably let you gain more speed.

I have a question… my wife and I bought two of these.. exactly the same. Did the mod there and my bike is faster than hers. I’m not sure if it’s something with the throttle cable or what, but it’s super frustrating

Gotta do the governor bypass it will give you another 10+ mph
