The delay was the least of my problems, it's the roaming fees that killed me.

It is currently estimated that the observable universe has a diameter of about 93 billion light-years. So, it would take light approximately 93 billion years to travel from one side of the observable universe to the other. However, since the universe is expanding, the current distance between the edges is constantly increasing, and the actual time it would take light to traverse that distance is unknown.

The last statement is wrong. It takes much longer to cross the universe. Some estimate puts the universe to be 93 billion light years wide. The Universe is estimated to be 13.7 billion years old.

Feeling travels faster because it’s everywhere. So if instead of eyes you train to get good at feeling there is a whole different play that begins to happen.

Why light has a speed limit: If light travelled at an infinite speed, the universe would end as soon as it started. One big bang and done, instantly. The speed of light is the rate at which time unfolds.

I used to call the US from the UK and it was longer than three seconds. It isn't a big deal. You just speak and listen and then wait.
