I bought a MSR Huba Huba back in March, tried it in the backyard then a buddy and I compared tents last month in his backyard one night. His a Nemo Dagger 2p. While my MSR was nice, I ended up taking it back and getting the Nemo. The extra 4 inches in length made the difference to me.

While very, very hard to do, you should distance yourself from any romantic associations of camping or backpacking. Think of a tent as a poncho with poles. I used a simple sil-tarp for 15 years. I now use a Gossamer One for backpacking and a Marmot Tungsten 2p for beach camping. Condensation is not a worry for me. If my stuff gets damp, I'll dry it next sunny day. I got the Marmot on sale for less than $200. Because it has similar fabrics, poles, and U/V resistance, it will last as long as your exotic $500 tent. Forget "lifetime" warranty service. When it fails, I'll chuck it and find a new one on sale.

I really need to buy a new tent, specifications if anyone wants to suggest something:
- 2 person (It has to have enough space for me and my backpack inside)
- Tall enough to be seated
- Easy to pitch and free standing (for two reasons, pitching at night and/or in locations where I only have like 90º access around the tent)
- Below give or take 2kg
- Earth color or cammo (will use it for stealthcamping a lot)

Went on a stealthcamping trip last summer for almost 3 months with a Quechua 2 seconds lol, love it, but its too heavy and cumbersome.
