Great job brother. Keep up the good work. Band of brothers and sisters. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

While it does not apply here I find my hydraulic wood splitter makes the best press for tight bends. Even for breaking a circle if you mark the lines evenly with a square.

This is like what my grandfather did when he built cabinets with curves

Good tip. Have used a similar trick with thinner metal which my break could not handle. To finish, just grind feathers off, TIG perforations (or adjacent tacks with MIG, like on sheet metal) and done!

Is it better do grind on the outside or inside of the bend? Inside would look cleaner but would it be as strong?

Nice video. I would love to put your content in a curated Newsletter. Who would I speak to about this?

I just tried to heat up 50mm x 5mm flat bar to make 2 L brackets and bent it in a vice with a 4pound hammer & they weren't straight in the end (they were leaning to the left & right of each other.
So attempt #2
I tried your way and perfection first go & with no heat added either.
They are only for mounting 2 light bars on my ute.
So they will be strong enough.
Happy days...

So, it's "how to cut thick metal and weld it together without a torch", not so much " how to bend thick metal without a torch "
